Like New Dresser

So when we first got out here I wanted a dresser for our bedroom, we were still using the plastic dressers that I had had since my freshman year of collage. So one day when some of us girls we going around to garage sales around here I found a dresser that looked like it had potential. I got a hand sander for Christmas (which I love) and finally decided I needed to put it to use (that and this week was going to be the last time that I would have lots of time for a project). We now have a beautiful black dresser that I love. Here are the before and after pictures and then one of me in the basement working on it (Brad missed the opportunity for a pic with my safety goggles on so you just get me painting).

So with a new job we decided to get a new car, so that Brad could continue to carpool to school and I could have a car everyday to take to work. Now we wanted something that got good gas milage but still had space for road trips and camping. So I looked at a lot of compact sedans in the hatchback family. With all my internest reasearch and searching we actually stumbled across this car by just stopping at a car lot. We wanted to just test drive cars to see what they were like and after the fifth car we drove we found one that was pretty new with low miles, was in good shape and drove really nice...a 2007 Nissan Versa. We feel like we got a really good deal after hours of talking to the salesman and "the finnance guy" in the back room. So Brad and I are excited for the newest addition to our lives and now the most expensive thing we own. Here are some pics I was asked to post.

Goodbye Pajamas

I am moving on to the next phase in my life and with that comes saying goodbye to working at home in my pajamas. As some people already know I was finally offered a job at the Southeastern Wisconsin Regional Planning Commission, is that too long don't worry this is shorter but not even easier to say a.k.a. SEWRPC. I will start this Monday as a Transportation Engineer in the Transportation Planning Department. Now what does that mean I will be doing... some of the same like making traffic models and writing lots of reports but hopefully there are also new and exciting things that I will get to learn and work on. I do have to say that I em truly grateful that I was able to get this job during this economic time. I know that Lord has been listening to my prayers about this for some time, and some day I will figure out why everything worked out the way it did. For now I am grateful to have a full time job again, hooray!
