How to Eat Birthday Cake

How to eat Birthday cake. By Charly.

Make sure you relax before the party

Listen while they sing the Birthday song

Take it slow at first, just stick your fingers in the frosting for a lick

When you know you like it pick up the entire cake for a bite

Get some big globs of frosting on your face

Examine before consuming

Offer some to Dad

Smash it between your fingers while you stick it in your mouth

Take plenty of time to play with it

Make sure you get some stuck in your eye lashes and up your nose

Finish it off with some milk

The Nose Wrinkle

Charly started doing this cute nose wrinkle smile. Once she got comfortable with my family they got to see it and they loved it. Then they would try all day to get her to give the smile, and she just loved the attention. I finally got a picture of it at the end of the month (and no her teeth are not crooked she just moves her bottom jaw to the side also when she does this smile).

Red Rocks Ampitheater

So I have been to Red Rocks several times, mostly since out high school held graduation there and I attended all of my brother's graduations there and a was a junior escort the one year no one from my family graduated. But I actually never have gone up just to go hang out, and that is what we decided to do one day while we were home (plus I thought it would be a good place to take engagement photos for my brother.) There is a little museum there that shows all the bands that have performed there. It was pretty cool to see a list that included The Beatles, John Denver, U2, R.E.M., Dave Mathews Band and many others, and then be able to say that I have been down in the dressing room area (since I also performed in the band in high school we would put our instruments together down there before the graduation ceremony). Next time we go back we want to take one of the hikes because it also has some beautiful rock formations in the park.

No Snow Here

A year ago here in Milwaukee we had huge piles of snow, even days where cars were stuck and you couldn't get down the street. This year we came back to Milwaukee to find no snow in sight. I guess it was a good thing we took advantage of the world's best snow when we were in Colorado.
